Trip highlights

Khustai National Park, located approximately 100 km southwest from Ulaanbaatar, is the home to Przewalski horse, the last truly wild horse first discovered by a Russian zoologist Nikolai MikhailovichPrzhevalsky in 1870s. In the 1960s the horse became extinct in the wild, largely due to competition with domestic livestock for grazing land and water and to hunting for horsemeat.

The horse was reintroduced to Hustai national Park in 1992. The park is inhabited by  biodiversity of animals, including marmot, moose, antelope etc. We will also see deer stones and graves originating from the 7th century Turkic period. Terelj National Park is the most popular destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. Its unspoilt nature, unique rock formations and pine covered granite mountains make the park a fascinating place to enjoy relaxation.

It is a perfect place for horseback riding, hiking and a visit to a nomad family where you can enjoy the hospitality of nomad people while having a taste of Mongolian dairy products.
