Trip highlights

Gobi occupies a third of the country’s territory in the Southern part of Mongolia and is known as the Thirty three Gobies of Zag, Suj and Nomin. Generally, this area is flat and stretches into Dorno Gobi, AltainOvor Gobi, ZuunGaryn Gobi and Hoid Gobi. The Great Desert of Central Asia joins from the south. Although the word « Gobi » means « waterless place », it has fresh and pure spring waters and a rich biodiversity. Gobi also holds a record of the place with the least population density in the world.

The trip will provide you with an opportunity to hike in Yol valley, a home to thriving wild life, and Bayan Zag (the rich saxaul), a place famous for fossil dinosaur findings and enjoy a camel ride in the singing dunes of Khongor.

Trip itinerary

Day 1: Fly to South Gobi. Travel to Bayanzag by a 4×4 vehicle.

Overnight in a ger.B+L+D

Day 2: Head for the singing dunes of Khongor. Hiking and camel riding are available.

Overnight in a ger.B+L+D

Day 3:Go to Yol valley.

Stay the night in a ger.B+L+D

Day 4: Fly to Ulaanbaatar.
